Terms & Conditions (Coaching Services)
Summary: These Terms set out how Shingai Life Coaching (“we” / “us”) provides coaching services to individual clients (“you”). Please read them before booking. By purchasing a coaching package or booking a session, you agree to these Terms.
Where required, these Terms are intended to meet UK consumer information and distance service expectations (online services) and reflect common coaching practice.
- About Us
Shingai Life Coaching is a coaching practice led by Idah Nzuma. We provide mindset and transformational life coaching online (video call) to clients in the UK and internationally. Contact: info@shingailifecoaching.com. Full business/registered address will be provided in booking confirmation and invoices.
- Our Services
We currently offer the following structured coaching programmes (subject to availability):
- Clarity Kickstart – 3 weeks – 90‑min clarity + 60‑min strategy + email support – £300.
- Alignment Recalibration – 5 weeks – weekly 45‑min sessions + personalised action roadmap – £500.
- Grounding Reset – 4 weeks – weekly 45‑min sessions blending mindset + wellbeing tools – £600.
- Blueprint Expansion (VIP) – ~7 weeks – 90‑min blueprint session + custom life blueprint (delivered in 7 days) + 3 x 75‑min private expansion sessions – £1,500.
Session details, inclusions, and scheduling expectations appear on our website and/or in the programme confirmation email.
- Coaching vs Other Professional Support
Coaching is a forward‑focused, collaborative process that supports clarity, alignment, accountability, and mindset shifts. It is not medical, psychological, psychiatric, or clinical treatment and does not diagnose, treat, or prescribe. If you are receiving care from another professional (GP, therapist, psychiatrist), please continue that care and inform them if relevant. We may suggest external support if coaching alone is not appropriate.
- Booking & Forming a Contract
4.1 Enquiry
You may contact us via our website or email to explore coaching.
4.2 Booking
A contract forms when (a) we confirm in writing that we accept your booking or (b) payment is received and we schedule your first session—whichever happens first. At that point, these Terms apply. This mirrors common UK coaching contracting practice.
4.3 Cooling‑Off (Distance Contracts)
If you are a consumer in the UK buying services online, you may have a 14‑day cooling‑off period under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. If you ask us to begin delivering services within that period (e.g., schedule your first session before day 14), you agree that we may charge for any work delivered before cancellation, and your right to cancel may be affected after full delivery.
- Fees & Payment
5.1 Fees
Current programme fees are published on our website. Fees may change; the price confirmed at booking applies to your purchase.
5.2 Payment Timing
Packages are payable in advance unless we agree a payment plan in writing.
5.3 Payment Methods
We accept [insert methods: Stripe card payment / bank transfer / PayPal]. Your booking is not confirmed until payment clears.
5.4 Currency
Fees shown in GBP (£). International clients are responsible for currency conversion or bank charges.
- Scheduling & Session Use
6.1 Scheduling Window
All included sessions in a package must be used within the stated programme duration (e.g., 3, 4, 5, or ~7 weeks) unless we mutually agree otherwise in writing. Unused sessions expire after the programme window to protect scheduling availability. Industry practice recommends clear use‑by terms.
6.2 Rescheduling by You
Please give at least 48 hours’ notice to reschedule a booked session. Less notice may result in the session being counted as used. (You can adjust this notice period to suit your practice.)
6.3 Late Arrival
We’ll hold the session open for 15 minutes from the start time. After that, the session may be treated as completed.
6.4 Rescheduling by Us
If we must reschedule due to illness, emergency, or technical issues, we’ll offer the soonest reasonable alternative date.
- Cancellations & Refunds
7.1 Before First Session
Full refunds available if you cancel before your first session and within the 14‑day cooling‑off period (if applicable). Outside the cooling‑off period, an admin fee may apply.
7.2 After Programme Start
If you cancel after starting a package, refunds are discretionary and may be pro‑rated based on sessions delivered and resources provided. Some programmes include digital materials that become non‑refundable once accessed.
7.3 How to Request a Refund
Email info@shingailifecoaching.com with your name, programme, and reason for request. We aim to respond within 5 working days.
- Client Responsibilities
Effective coaching depends on your engagement. You agree to:
- Attend sessions prepared and present.
- Complete reflective or action tasks between sessions where agreed.
- Communicate honestly about progress and challenges.
- Seek appropriate professional support for medical or mental health concerns beyond coaching scope.
- Our Commitment to You
We agree to:
- Provide coaching with reasonable care and skill.
- Maintain boundaries, confidentiality (see below), and professionalism.
- Notify you promptly if rescheduling is needed.
- Refer or signpost when other support may serve you better.
- Confidentiality
Coaching conversations are private. We will not share what you discuss except:
- With your permission.
- If required by law.
- If we believe there is risk of harm to you or others (duty of care exception).
- With professional supervisors/mentors in a way that protects your identity (common coaching practice).
- Recording Sessions
We do not record sessions by default. If a recording would help (e.g., for your review), we’ll ask for your written permission first. If recorded, we’ll explain how long the file will be stored and how you can request deletion.
- Limitation of Liability
Coaching supports reflection, decision‑making, and behaviour change but results vary based on your engagement. We do not guarantee specific outcomes. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the total fees paid for the coaching package in question. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
- Intellectual Property
All written materials, tools, worksheets, or programmes we provide remain our intellectual property unless explicitly stated otherwise. You may use them for your personal development but may not copy, share, sell, publish, or distribute without permission.
- Data Protection
Your personal data is handled in line with our Privacy Policy (above). Please review it to understand what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. UK GDPR obligations apply to personal data processed in the UK.
- Complaints
We aim for a supportive, professional service. If something isn’t working for you, please raise it as soon as possible so we can address it. Formal complaints can be sent to info@shingailifecoaching.com. If your concern relates to data protection, you may also contact the ICO (see Privacy Policy).
- Governing Law
These Terms and any dispute arising out of them are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales shall have jurisdiction (unless consumer law in your country of residence provides otherwise and must prevail).
- Updates to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version date appears at the top of the document. If we make material changes that affect current clients, we will notify you by email. Continuing to use our services after notice means you accept the updated Terms.
